Above, the dance is Pick Yourself Up, and of
course, he is dancing with Ginger Rogers. They are in a nice open
position, nothing touching, same footwork.
In
this dance, they spend much of the time in an open, apart, American
style position, but they maintain good partner awareness and connection
through it all. Each body line matches that of the other, their
gestures mirror those of the other, their glances and expressions show
their joy in each other. Their mutual delight and gaity binds them into
a true couple.
